Winnie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree specializing in Food and Nutrition from the Ryerson University in Toronto and a Master of Public Health degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed her dietetic internship with the Langara College Gerontology Nutrition Society. Her research in menu planning for long term care facilities was recognized by the Canadian Foundation of Dietetic Research and awarded the Morgan Medal (British Columbia Region) in 2010. Since being a private practice dietitian in 2009, Winnie has been providing nutrition and foodservice consultation services to various long term care facilities in the lower mainland and on Vancouver Island. Other than the consultation work, Winnie also involves in various working group to develop guidelines on providing safe eating assistance for seniors with swallowing difficulties.
Winnie is a member of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and registered to practice enteral nutrition (tube feeding). She also holds a position in the Registration Committee for the College and is a member of Dietitians of Canada.
