Hi,
Right from a very early age kids should be made aware of healthy eating, and sometimes a parent has to act like a -----parent, and say no, but don't stop at merely saying no, explain to the kids why they should not eat a bad breakfast cereal. Teach kids what to look for on cereal labels, too much sugar, too much colouring, too many calories, or even too many numbers on the label. I told my boys if they didn't know what the numbers meant it was best to select another product.

Food manufacturers care more about the bottom line on their profit and loss sheet than they do about health, so don't expect them to tell the truth about how healthy a product is.

Kids love to learn so make it fun, a game to see who can find the healthiest breakfast cereal that tastes good.

Well said, and i totally agree. I find parents these days a very challeged people with so many influences from so many directions, i do not envy their position and respect the ones that do not succumb to the daily stresses of their lives.
