Hi Leighann,
I am firing from the lip here, I have no experience in treating this problem but I'll suggest a couple of things from a commonsense position.
1. You know your daughters favourite healthy foods, so where possible try to use them.
2. Try making soup from these foods and use a fine strainer (or a series of strainers) to remove solids from the soup.
3.You would need to utilise a wide range of food to make sure she did not miss out on any essential vitamins/minerals for the healing process.
4. Chicken broths could be used ,and perhaps even combined to add flavour to other less flavoursome soups.
5. Obviously you would have consulted a dietitian about this problem, if you haven't you should.
6. You can boil the juices out of any meat and use it the same as any other soup.
7. You could purchase or make yourself soups from seafood products, once again using a very fine strainer.
I am sure HealthCastle staff can help you more here and correct me if I am wrong on any of this, I would like to know the answers to this too.
Cheers and I hope I have helped in some small way.
