Does anyone have any experience of Primal Defence - the HSO probiotic?

There are many claims of it clearing candida, parasites, Crohns, etc, etc but often these accounts come via suppliers and are probably biased by people's profit margins.

I have one Nutritionist colleague who managed to clear a client's Blastocystis hominis with this, but another who has tested it and found it of no value. I have recently started trialling it on myself and coincidentally have had stomach discomfort (pain around the duodenum - rather than bloating, which you would more likely expect) even though I consider my gut in good condition and I can tolerate very strong probiotics without bloating.

Hi Julia

I was just surfing and came cross your post so thought Id reply. I have some experience with primal defence. I have ulcerative colitis and tried primal defence in an effort to recover from a severe colitis flare up in 2003. Along with a dietary strategy recommended by Primal Defence promoter Jordan Rubin (and positive response to different meds) I did achieve remission ultimately and returned to good health which continues today touch wood. I really dont know to what extent the primal defence played in my recovery, if any. I believe diet was probably the crucial factor. I dont take PD any more as it was expensive importing into Australia where I live and I did find it contributed to wind to some degree. I now make my own goats milk yoghurt using a probiotic that particularly agrees with me and find this a better probiotic supplement. Having spent many hours perusing IBD web boards etc I would say that you are definitely not alone in experiencing side effects from PD. Ive read of a number of people who have worsened along with some who sing the stuffs praises. It seems to be about 50 50.

Cheers

HI guys,

Does anyone have an effective combination of natural supplements that can help keep Crohn's in remission?
I live in Australia and find it hard to source out overseas products here but if I know of a good product I will try hard to get it. I've heard of Primal Defence but I am skeptical about buying it because I havn't really heard much good feedback about it on forums. Does anyone know much about it's effectiveness in treating Crohn's? Also does anyone know much about the so called "Miracle cure for Crohn's" called Molecure? Their web adds are everywhere.

Regards
Mic.
