Good news! The majority of California pistachios were not affected by the recent voluntary recall.
The FDA's precautionary voluntary recall is linked to a single processor and no illnesses have been reported.

Most pistachios are safe, and the FDA and California pistachio growers/ processors now have a new site - www.pistachiorecall.org -- which lists brands that continue to be safe to consume.

So, we can continue to enjoy our pistachios!

Hi Marlyn,
we didn't hear anything about a Pistachio recall in Australia, why were they recalled, were they contaminated with a chemical, or did they detect a mould?

Hi Nut Eaters,
It appears a Salmonella contamination was to blame for this recall, I wonder how that occurred?
