hey... janet here.. I'm 5'8 about 220 lbs.. and ive been trying real hard to lose weight now for almost 8 months... i just had a baby girl a little over a year ago.. and during my pregnancy i gained a tonnnn of weight and much of it stuck with me after she was born, and since then the hubby has been bothering me non stop about my new weight problem... so after a few months of that, it really started getting to me so i decided to try and do something about it... ive tried almost every diet plan out there... south beach, atkins, slimfast, weight watchers, etc... and nothing so far has really worked well for me.... But ive recently come across this diet that a couple of my girlfriends put me onto that said worked amazing for them like nothing else has.... so i checked it out, it looks really good and they hav a full money back guarentee.. and im thinking about signing up for it.. but i first wanted to get some 3rd or 4th opinions on it... their website is http://www.fatloss.pcti-system.com .. and out of all the reviews ive read for it which were almost all positive, there was only one out there I could find that actually explained a little what their whole program entails and didnt sound like it was trying to sell me something... which is at.. http://frankswerdlow.wordpress.com .. Has anyone ever personally tried this program?? Any advice comments opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!!

one of the biggest problems online is getting honest reviews, most just want to sell you their product and as a result many reviews are phony. I would go with atkins its proven or the ornish diet, but good luck and congrats on the birth of your new child.

It certainly sounds like a problem. biggrin.gif
You started this advertisement on 9/4/09, today is the 8/5/09 which is 29 days ago, the ad says you lose 9lbs every 11 days how is it that you still weigh 220 lbs you should have lost at least 29lbs by now, the program must be a failure

Yes, u are right. most of the sites on the web just want to sell their product and after that they have no matter with the customer. So, be careful while purchasing anything online.

Any diet will work that aim to reduce calorie intake. If you aren't losing weight from those sort of diet then without trying to sound rude, you need to look at what you are doing that is under the guidelines of the diet. If you are sneaking snacks in between meals or remaining inactive then no diet will work for you. The process is quite simple and unfortunately all of these diets confuse the situation. Cut out the junk from your diet and get active and the weight will come off. Try writing down what you are eating each meal and really study where you are going wrong. Aim to go for a walk each day too. Until you know where you are going wrong you cannot fix it. wink.gif

Bigmomma, I can only recommend you to combine dieting and sports. Do regular workout or aerobic and you'll see that you lose weight. I think you don't really need a diet programme like Weith Watchers - just browse through the internet and try to eat healthy things. You can find good recipes on diet sites like Dieting Delilah - just browse the net, you'll find a lot of interesting stuff for free.

dieting and active lifestyle will work.

active does not mean going out and playing basketball for the 1st time or running 2 miles.

to be perfectly frank, most diets simply do not work by themself. You do need to be active.

#1 - walk more if you can, to the store, the park, etc.
#2 - do exercise in the morning before you eat; a few minutes after you wake up for 10 to 15 minutes. If you do this, your body is burning fat, not muscle . the exercises you do will need to be different to keep the body guessing otherwise it knows the routine and adapts and does not burn fat anymore or if it does it is at a much smaller rate.

#3 eat smaller meals, more more vegetables, not carbs, the green leafy ones, more lean meat, fish, chicken
NOT fried either, NO breads (at least none in the afternoon or evening), no processed foods, no concentrated or pasteurized juices, 100% pure squeezed.

drink more water - 8 glasses per day..

eat more nuts - especially almonds and walnuts. (less calories and they fill you up, plus they burn fat)

cold water fish - salmon, tuna - Again not fried....grill it if you must....no frying

More fruit shakes - mangoes, citrus, acai, a banana slice, melon etc..

Seriously people, you cannot cheat here and there by putting ice cream, yogurt, whole milk, health cookies snack, mayonaise etc in these foods to try and make them yummy...you have to do a complete overhaul to make this work.

use the foods from the LapBand diet which will help you lose weight as well.

I hope that helps.....it helped me

Hi henri,
The advice you have given here will certainly help people, but I think you have failed to read some of the advice you have actually given or else your personal bias has over ridden it. The lapband diet actually says, and I quote "Breads and cereals are good too". Also I think you should make the clear definition of what you mean by "not carbs". I think you mean carbs from bakeries so I am giving you the benefit of the doubt here,
Carbs are brain foods so you do not want to avoid carbs, and vegetables and fruit are important sources.

Not a bad post henri I would give you 8/10 which is a pretty high score from me biggrin.gif just a little more research and a little less bias for a 10/10 score.
