The Acai berry is in no way anything new and it has been growing untamed in the Amazon jungle for centuries already. It was only recently discovered in the 20th century and after research and clinical trials the enormous benefits to the body that this wonder berry can give were unraveled.

Hi stacyluv4u,
This wonderful research you are talking about must be very well disguised, I can't find any compelling evidence of efficacy for Acai berry anywhere, sure it has showed promise as an anti-oxidant, but there is no evidence to support the belief that it's anti-oxidants are superior to any other anti-oxidants. Some of the Maori herbs have much higher anti-oxidant content. I totally agree with HealthCastles comments on this way over rated product.
I have been wrong plenty of times in the past so if you know of any credible research hit me with it.

While the acai berries themselves do not show clinical data to support weight loss on their own, it seems when the acai berry is blended with other weight loss herbs and ingredients the results can be astounding.

I think some people over exaggerate the benefits and properties of the acai berry. While it is a healthy fruit, it is not some miracle food.

With the spread of swine flu, wouldn't you want to start boosting the energy and strengthening the immune system. Drink fluids as much as you can but not just any fluid, health drinks, all the healthy fruit juices such as orange, grapefruit, berries and the ones that are not familiar including acai juice, noni juice, goji juice...

Acai berry has lot of health benefits. But also we must remember any food have side effects. While there are no side effects of acai berry, some individuals with pollen allergies have reported that they exhibited slightly aggravated allergic reactions after having consumed it.
The cases may be few and far between and the effects minor, but these are still worth noting as some of you might be having this same inherent health condition.

To be honest, there is a load of crap about acai berry on the web... most of it coming from companies offering dodgy free trials for a high rebill product... buyers beware! Acai is know for its ability to suppress the appetite as well as detoxing the body... i personally think that saying it can reduce the potential of getting cancer (for example) is a claim too far!

The story of acai berry is more than old. It is used for years now. Different countries use it as basic supplement to achieve a healthier life. Now there is a high consumer market for acai berry in products like cosmetics, diet pills aso. Be aware of many crap offers out there. It's not worth it to buy any cheap supplement for high prices.

Hi Remus,
I have a policy that says, if they sell a product don't believe anything they tell you about that product.

It's not a secret that eating fruits and vegetables is important for the health and acai berry has many benefits. However, one should have a balanced diet including all food groups.

The acai berry is an inch-long reddish, purple fruit. It comes from the acai palm tree, which is native to Central and South America. Research on the acai berry has focused on its possible antioxidant activity. Theoretically, that activity may help prevent diseases caused by oxidative stress such as heart disease and cancer.

Acai Berry is just another so called "Miracle", which was properly promoted by many companies. Once it got on Ophrah whole america wanted it.
It will help maybe for weight loss, but the way they said it will help was ofcourse not true. A healthy diet with some proper exercising will cut your weight in a healthy way.

Acai Berry is a small round black purplish fruit that looks like grape both in appearance and size though with a lesser pulp. The berries have the tendency to deteriorate very fast after harvest due to its high fatty content and today several companies now use acai berry to produce juice and energy drink.

Acai berry is not any better than blueberry or grapes or any other fruits or berries. It is just a berry, and just happened to have an exotic name.
Do not believe those who try to market you expensive acai berry weight lose supplements - follow healthy eating giudelines and you will be healthy in no time.
