Hi,
A 2008 research paper has uncovered some bad news for male dairy product lovers. Too much calcium and protein from dairy could increase your risk of prostate cancer risk. Non animal sources were quite safe.

Hi r4revolution,

I suppose these remarks were aimed at me. "Sorry have to do this, Brian Boy dude don't give us this crap about it being bad for you, its been PROVEN that it reduces prostate cancer". I haven't a clue who Brian Boy is unless you meant Brain Boy, in which case I'll accept it as a compliment.

You should really attempt to remove any emotional attachment to being right, it's not conducive to learning, we all have to be told we are wrong about something at some stage if we are going to progress academically. Some people never learn because they always believe they already know the answer, I went to school with people like this, they never accepted new knowledge, preferring to stay with what they believed and even though these people stayed at school for years, the only thing they ever passed was wind.

I would be happy to learn from you if you have genuine proof that these scientists are wrong, so all you have to do is supply PROOF, not just empty words, such as you have here.

You don't have to stretch the imagination to much to see how dairy could cause cancer, have you heard of nitrites/nitrates? These chemicals belong to a group of chemicals of which more than 90% have been determined to cause cancer in various organs in humans and animals. These chemicals are found in many food products including fried bacon, cured meats, cheese products as well as beer and water, so I don't think you have to be Einstein to understand the ramifications of excessive consumption of these foods.

Remember that I did not do the research, but it has been accepted by the PubMed and the Government will have it on their website for the information of academics, clinicians, health policy makers and researchers, to try to protect people like you from yourself. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18382426

When I was a factory manager for the Heinz Company and Kraft Foods, I used to have a saying which I frequently repeated at the end of meetings. "Please don't be frightened to ask dumb questions because they are much easier to deal with, than dumb mistakes".

Thank you r4revolution for the opportunity to try to clarify this discussion, have a good day.
