Here's a recipe I highly recommend for delicious, extremely healthy almond milk. I make almond milk hot-chocolate's during winter. It's delicious, healthy, keeps you warm, and does wonders for your skin!

This is how you do it (very simple):
  • buy some unroasted, unsalted almonds (about 300 grams)
  • grate them using a grater or kitchen whizz. The closer to a fine powder the better, but it doesn't really matter.
  • soak them over night in water.
  • blend the soaked almonds and add water until a thick, milky consistency is achieved.
  • pour into a drink bottle and store in refrigerator.
  • microwave/heat on stove with hot chocolate powder (or cocoa powder and maple syrup if you're like me), and ENJOY!

Almonds work wonders for your skin and general health, benefits include:
- Almonds are a monounsaturated fat (healthy fats)
- Almonds lower cholesterol levels.... reduce risk of heart disease.
- Are an antioxidant.
- Magnesium & potassium rich... increases oxygen, blood flow, and nutrient uptake.
- Promotes healthy skin complexion.

Random note: did you know that human bodies aren't designed to process cows milk? Our bodies have great difficulty digesting and processing cows milk. Almond milk is a great alternative, that is easy for our bodies to digest!

Enjoy, it takes a bit of work (more than opening a bottle of milk anyway) to make this almond milk, but it's so worth it rolleyes.gif
