Is calcium intake irreversible process? Especially regarding teeth quality. Or is it only effective in childhood/adolescent age (development).

Thank you
Gloria
welcome to the board vince! i'm not sure if i fully understand when you said "teeth quality" in relation to calcium intake.

as for calcium and bone, most people acquire 98% of their bone mass by age 20. but that doesn't mean we stop taking care of our bone health after 20 years of age. it's very important to replenish calcium loss, especially during pregnancy/lactation as well as after menopause. Post-menopausal women, for instance, lose as much as 20% of bone density, and that's why calcium requirement increases during these age agroups.

sorry probably of not much help to your question.
