Hi there
Sorry I havent posted to this before, but I havent been on the forum for a few months and so lost touch and these messages dont come to my email, as I havent set it up like that....
You really need to be congratulated (if its you) on trying to stop using drugs!! If its someone else then keep telling them how strong they are to do this.
I dont think a simple response from anyone here would be enough for you (or your friend), as you really need to see someone, face-to-face and have the progress monitored on a regular basis.
The only things that I can say (and remember, only a few people here are qualified to give professional, but free advice and I am not one of them as I havent completed post-graduate study in this area, although I have a great interest in health and nutrition and thats why I created a site on those things to help people learn about it

)
Anyway, back to my point -- what I can say, is that the body needs a lot of vitamins, minerals, amino acids as well as fresh air, exercise and sunshine, on a daily basis. Beyond that, I cant tell you more as I am not qualified to give that advice.
What you can do, is to search on the web for things like:
nutrition drug addicts
You can try some other search terms to see what else you can come up with....
Here are some pages for you to start with....
http://www.healthy.net/scr/Condition.asp?ConditionId=100http://www.eleusis.us/well-program/nutrition.phphttp://www.addiction2.com/narconon_program_endingThis site is not mine, obvious, but it is a great resource.
I really really recommend you (or the person with the drug issues), goes and sees someone about it...
Good luck!!
Regards

I think your site is a very good idea and I could definitely use some advice. Do you know anything about starting a nutrition program for someone trying to stop using drugs? I can elaborate if this is something you're knowledgeable in. I'm talking about a complete program including anything and everything from vitamins, minerals, amino acids, diet, to a moderate exercise program, or even hypnosis or holistic treatments. The major concern I would have would be FATIGUE and getting the energy needed to exchange for the results of the drug being used. There is also hypothyroidism involved. Is this something you could possibly advise on or direct me elsewhere.
signed.....desparately trying to stop!
