For children between the ages of 4 and 8, the recommended level for calcium is 800 mg. In general, a cup of milk provides ~ 300mg of calcium. For children's with cow's milk protein allergy, you may get them to try other non-dairy calcium-rich foods such as calcium-fortified soymilk or orange juice which also provide approximately same amount of calcium. Canned fish with bones is a good alternative as well.
If you are concerned about calcium intake, speak to your doctor or your dietitian about calcium supplements. The UL (tolerable upper intake) for ages above 1 is 2500 mg.
Hope this helps.
