I think from memory peanut butter on white bread gives you the full complement of essential amino acids
and is therefore a complete protein, so this should be a better option than an energy bar. Wheat is low,(I think) in lysine and peanuts are high. How far do you run, for many years I used to run 8 KMS per day 6 days per week, I was a 5th Dan Karate instructor for 30 years.
