From the health castle site I obtained the Gout Diet / Low Purine Foods.
The Low Purine Foods suggest tofu as a source of protein, but in the Moderate Purine Foods lentils, dried peas and beans - my question is
are soy beans OK as a source of protein ?
Further - also on the Moderate List are oatmeal, wheatbran & wheatgerm - should I conclude that oats and wheat products should be used in moderate?

Hi Wiggy,
If Health castle says it's OK I would trust it, they are very clever people and they do their homework.
Here is another website that you can check but as far as I can tell it agrees with Health Castle.
