Hi All... This is my first post as I just found HealthCastle and hope it is what it seems (intelligent and up to the minute...).

I just (4 days ago) had my second stent put in and I am bummed out! For the past five months I have been an almost obsessed Vegan and have tried to cleanse my body of all animal fats, trans fats, hydrogenated fats, saturated fats, dairy fats, and "whatever" fats, concentrating on adding "good" fats like monounsaturated and polyunsaturated vegetable fats.

I thought that lowering my total cholesterol from 259 to 132, my LDL from 151 to 53, and my triglycerides from 313 down to 208 would have prevented another 99% closure in the same artery, almost in the same place...

I am working so very hard at this I am at a loss what to do next. I know the triglycerides are still very high but I think that if I keep up my eating plan they, too, will go back to normal.

Am I looking at spending the rest of my life fighting off the plaque that I have planted over the past 60+ years? AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! ohmy.gif There must be a way to eliminate the plaque for good...

HELP!
