I have only eaten "Sweet Sticky" rice (Glutinous Rice) a few times and all I can say is that it is absolutely beautiful !!.
My son's fiancee is from Malaysia and she first introduced me to this beautiful dish and now a lady from the Philippines has cooked some for us and I can't stop eating it. What is the sugar that produces this beautiful sticky sweetness?

Does anybody out there have a recipe for sweet sticky rice, this food comes straight from heaven and everybody should be taught to make it? Isn't there some great food out there it's no wonder everyone is struggling with weight problems.

I can't let this one go, I live in a small country town and our local Coles Bi Low Supermarket has just deleted glutinous rice from its range of rice because of no interest. How is this possible you might well ask? The most beautiful tasting rice known to man is being deleted. Somebody give me a recipe for cooking "Sweet Sticky Rice" and I will find it somewhere. I can't ask my future daughter in law because they have just become engaged in Japan and will not be back in Australia until the end of January, I need to cook it before then.

Guess what? I have a recipe, today I treated a lady from the Phillipines who gave me a recipe.
Glutinous rice+ Palm Sugar+Coconut Milk.
Boil Glutinous Rice whilst continually stirring to stop it sticking to the bottom of the saucepan, tip into a wok and add Palm Sugar to taste and coconut milk. This is a beautiful sweet and worth every bit of the trouble.
