Nutrition Month 2009:
How To Not Overload on Nuts

Nuts are known to provide healthy mono-unsaturated fats and polyphenol antioxidants. An ounce and a half per day is the amount that has been studied to be heart healthy, but it''s very easy to eat too many. So I recommend using a one ounce shotglass for your nut dish. Just fill to the brim (you will then have 1-1/2 oz), close the can, jar or bag of nuts and walk away... You've had your healthy shot and know that you haven't overeaten!
