How much of a role does diet play in preventing cancer? What types of food should you eat if you are being treated for cancer? Dr. David Servan-Schreiber, Professor of Psychiatry at the Pittsburgh School of Medicine tells us how to prevent and fight cancer with food and nutrition.
The guest talks about turmeric; it seems that i've been hearing about it a lot lately. i'm very interested to learn its health benefits!

This was a very informative video and very inspiring. We all need to do what we can to improve our lifestyles to decrease the incidence of cancer. Working in the hospital I see more and more people who are affected by cancer and its effects. Finding ways to decrease or eliminate it would be awesome.

Great information as usual HealthCastle, seems to go from strength to strength, this was a great podcast with lots of good information, and I don't know about you, but I knew nothing about carnosol. http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/65/3/1097
It's worth having a look at.Soy(and soy products) comes up positive more times than negative by a big margin for all types of cancer, it is always good to have things you can quantify rather than merely testimonials that fail scrutiny.
Cheers and keep reading.

Flax seed oil and particularly ground Flax seeds are very good anti cancer foods. they both must be kept under refrigeration, 3 months in the refrigerator or 12 months in the deep freezer. Dr, Johanna Budwig, back in 1955 suggested 60 ml of oil plus 100 grams of cottage cheese daily. 60 ml of oil is equivalent to 150 grams of seeds. It is better to use the ground seeds, grind it yourself, due to the presence of fibres in the seeds. Also it is nearly impossible to get the oil freshly squeezed and refrigerated.

Hi Gloria Tsang
This is Stephanie Smith. I am a freshman attending SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta New York and I am majoring in nutrition with a minor in personal training. After becoming an RD in, I don’t know how many years, I hope to open my own nutrition and fitness camp for kids. I love kids and am a counselor at a YMCA summer camp for kids at home in Orange County.
Well anyway, the reason why I am e-mailing you is that for part of my assignment in my intro to dietetics class, I need to interview a Registered Dietitian and I thought, since you seem so educated in the field of nutrition I thought it would be awesome if I could interview you. It would be so easy; all you have to do is answer these 6 questions about becoming an RD...
1) What is your title? What do you do?
2) Why did you choose to be an RD (Registered Dietitian)?
3) What kind of education and training did you need to become who you are today (include what schools you attended to become an RD)?
4) What was your specific major/ minor in college?
5) Where did you do your internship/s? What other kinds of RD jobs have you done?
6) What advice do you have to help me become a successful RD?
If you would like to add anything else that you find interesting about yourself, you are welcome to do so, like, for instances, any books you wrote, people you have met, programs you have been involved in...that would be awesome!!!! : )
Well…thank you so much for your time
My paper is due by Friday, so if you could notify me whether or not you want to answer those 6 easy questions, just let me know in the next day or two...
If you are interested please contact me via my school email...smitsm31@oneonta.edu
Thank You So Much
~Steph Smith
